Bananya is a white cat that lives in a banana. He is the main character of the series.

Appearance[]

Bananya appears as a cute white cat with his upper body protruding from a banana peel-like lower half. Bananya has blackish brown eyes and two whiskers on either side of his face and pink cheeks underlying said whiskers. His banana peel is the standard yellow and has no notable markings.

Personality[]

Bananya is described as being optimistic and carefree. He behaves mostly as a normal cat would and has exhibited curiosity, playfulness, and even a cat's natural instinct to hunt small creatures like birds or mice. However, Bananya has been shown to overcome these natural instincts in favor of food or friendship (particularly sweets), though it does not always last. His lifelong dream is to become a trendy chocolate-covered bananya. He's empathetic, showing concern when others are distressed, including characters on television. He's friendly with the other bananyas, showing special interest in Bananyako and Droopy-Eared Bananya. In the second season, he's shown to be quite curious about the Earth, which can be seen from the Bananya planet.

Bananyako[]

Bananya, like many of the male bananyas, is especially interested in Bananyako, though she seems to only have eyes for Long-Haired Bananya.

The Bananya Bunch[]

Bananya is the older sibling of the 3 bananyas in The Bananya Bunch. When they're all together, it becomes impossible to tell them apart.

Calico Bananya[]

Bananya is neighbors with Calico Bananya and Calico Bananya comes over to play somewhat often, though he may be more interested in seeing Bananyako.

Droopy-Eared Bananya[]

Bananya is smitten with Droopy-Eared Bananya's cuteness, like nearly everyone else who sees her. They spend a good deal of time together; she even misses him so much when he goes to Earth that she gets Scientist Bananya to help her fly there too.
